Responding Creatively to Early American Texts

We rarely get a window into our colleagues’ classrooms. In preparation for the roundtable “Responding Creatively to Early American Texts,” several panelists sent me sample materials. I bundled these lesson plans, syllabi, assignments and sample student papers into a workbook. (Email me if you’d like the pdf, thallock@mail.usf.edu.)

The materials are wonderfully creative and thoughtful, packed with both innovation and application. In the two, successive sessions of “Responding Creatively” (Friday 8:00, 9:45) our panelists will offer quick opening remarks. We’ll then have lots of time for conversation, which we hope all present will join.
